Eastern and southern parts of Ukraine continue to face fiercest fighting, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian crisis. The duration of martial law in Ukraine is being extended.
More than 18 million people are affected inside Ukraine, since access to vital necessities has been curtailed due to massive destruction of civilian infrastructure, the consequence being displacement and dramatic loss of jobs and livelihoods. 7.7 million people are now estimated to be internally displaced.
Overall Objective
To provide humanitarian aid to population affected by the war.
Specific Objective
Cover most urgent basic needs of residents of southern and eastern Ukraine affected by the war/IDPs (9,000 Individuals.
Expected Result
War-affected population have received humanitarian aid (9,000 individuals)
Main Activities
- Rent warehouses in Dnipro and Uzhgorod cities
- Provide psychological assistance for East-SOS staff to better handle and respond to incoming calls and requests and prevent burnout
- Purchase of food and hygiene kits, bedding sets
- Distribution of food and hygiene kits, bedding sets
- Identify 20 shelters that need to improve their living conditions
- Deliver equipment to the shelters
